Growing Our Love for Animals

Ground Breaking and Blessing Ceremony

On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, Hawaiian Humane embarked on the next phase of our 138-year history of service by breaking ground at the location of our future second campus.

Members of the Hawaiian Humane board of directors, civic and community leaders, special guests, and employees gathered on the 5-acre site of our soon-to-be campus in West O‘ahu to participate in a traditional Hawaiian blessing and turning of the soil. The celebration marked the turning of a page to a new chapter in our 138-year history of service and compassionate care.
