The Hawaiian Humane Society is Oʻahu’s largest animal welfare organization that welcomes all animals. We are also an amnesty site for animals illegally brought to Hawaiʻi.
Admissions Center Hours
The Hawaiian Humane Admissions Center is open by appointment only, with open hours from 9 am to 7 pm Tuesday through Sunday (closed on Monday). Click the button to the right to make an appointment. Walk-ins will only be accepted for emergencies such as:
- Injured or ill animal
- Abandoned animal
- Stray animal that cannot be kept by the finder
- Deceased animal
- Owner-requested emergency euthanasia
From 7 pm to 9 am, please call 808-356-2250 for emergencies and cases such as:
- Animals in distress/danger
- Aggressive dogs or loose aggressive dogs
- Owner-requested emergency euthanasia
Services
The Admissions Center is open by appointment only for the following services:
- Owner-requested euthanasia
- Lost and found
- Stray animal admissions
- Owner surrenders
- Pet microchipping
- Post-adoption exams
- Foster care exams
PLEASE NOTE:
We are currently not accepting any trapped stray cats. For Trap-Neuter-Return-Manage (TNRM) services, all trapped stray cats must be seen through the Ginny Tiu Community Spay/Neuter Center.
PACT (Post Adoption Care Treatment) and foster care exams will be done seven days a week, from 10 am to 5:30 pm, by appointment only.
