The Hawaiian Humane Society is Oʻahu’s largest animal welfare organization that welcomes all animals. We are also an amnesty site for animals illegally brought to Hawaiʻi. Our Mōʻiliʻili Campus Dr. Norman & Kazue Ueda and Peppy Pet Kōkua Center is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm, and our Kosasa Family Campus at Hoʻopili Ginny Tiu Pet Kōkua Center is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm for admissions.
Services
Both our Mōʻiliʻili Campus Dr. Norman & Kazue Ueda and Peppy Pet Kōkua Center and Kosasa Family Campus at Hoʻopili Ginny Tiu Pet Kōkua Center offer a variety of admissions services to the community by appointment, including:
- Owner-requested euthanasia (Mōʻiliʻili Campus Only)
- Lost and found
- Stray animal admissions
- Mōʻiliʻili Campus: Wednesday – Sunday, 11 am – 6 pm (the last intake will occur at 5:30 pm)
- Kosasa Family Campus at Hoʻopili: Wednesday – Sunday, 11 am – 6 pm (the last intake will occur at 5:30 pm)
- Owner surrenders
- Please note: Owned Pet Admissions are by appointment
only (Wednesday – Sunday).

For those seeking stray animal admissions and owner surrender services, we ask that you account for time needed on-site to complete admissions forms so that we can best learn about the animal’s behavior and background. This information is valuable to help us either reunite them with their families or find the best possible outcome for them.
Walk-ins will only be accepted for emergencies such as:
- Injured or ill animal
- Abandoned animal
- Stray animal that cannot be kept by the finder
- Deceased animal
- Owner-requested emergency euthanasia Wednesday-Sunday
- Kosasa Family Campus qualified staff is not on-site Monday and Tuesday
Mondays, Tuesdays and all other times, please call 808-356-2250 for emergencies and cases such as:
- Animals in distress/danger
- Aggressive dogs or loose aggressive dogs
- Owner-requested emergency euthanasia
PLEASE NOTE:
We are currently not accepting any trapped stray Free-roaming cats. For spay/neuter services for trapped Free-Roaming cats in support of Trap-Neuter-Return-Manage (TNRM) strategies, please visit the Mōʻiliʻili Campus Ginny Tiu Community Spay/Neuter Center.
PACT (Post Adoption Care Treatment) and foster care exam appointments are available at our Mōʻiliʻili Campus daily from 10 am to 5:30 pm, and our Kosasa Family Campus at Hoʻopili Wednesday through Sunday, 11 am to 5:00 pm.
