Generally, the specifications of FRCs are unknown. If this is the case, please use the following answers in the questionnaire when you book your appointment:

1. Animal name – “FRC1 (your last name)”
2. Species – select “Lion Female”. Making any other selection will result in your appointment request being rejected.
3. Sex – select “Female”
4. Weight – select “6”
5. Age – select “1yr”
6. Breed – select “domestic shorthair”
7. Color – select “unknown”

Online appointment requests are scheduled for Fridays and are first-come, first-served, with one cat per appointment. If a cat is intended to become an indoor pet, please select “Cat” as the species and wait for an owned-pet appointment slot to open up, as these surgeries are paid services.

Safety Upon Arrival

• Free-Roaming Cats are REQUIRED to be transported in a HUMANE TRAP at all times.

• • Please limit ONE cat per trap should you have multiple appointments in the same day.
  • We do not recommend Free-Roaming Cats in traps for more than 24 hours. Please plan to trap accordingly.
  • Should you need access to a trap, TRAP RENTALS are available at the Ginny Tiu Community Spay/Neuter Center – Mōʻiliʻili Campus from Wednesday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on a walk-in basis.

Humane Cat Traps Available to Rent for TNRM

Trap, Neuter, Return & Manage (TNRM) is a strategy that allows Free-Roaming cats to live out their natural lives without reproducing. Colony managers/caregivers work independently from the Hawaiian Humane Society and volunteer their time to ensure the cats’ wellbeing and care. Through the City & County Feline Fix program, Hawaiian Humane offers waived-cost spay/neuter to for Free-Roaming/community cats.
