Students have developed ways to help animals at this prestigious, academic event for over a decade. Encouraging young scientific minds, the Humane Achievement Award tasks entrants to explore animal welfare and cultivate meaningful methods to help animals. Cash and a behind-the-scenes campus tour are some of the cool prizes waiting for four winning entrants. All winning entries will also be mentioned in the Hawaiian Humane Society’s quarterly newsletter and website. School level entry deadlines range from November through January.
Projects must follow the rules and guidelines for vertebrate animals (click here for rules) and also promote the human-animal bond and/or the humane treatments of animals. Here are a few ideas. Many more are available on the web.
