Animal Care
Companion animals have many different needs and your education can make all the difference in your pet's health, happiness and behavior.
Behavior is a leading reason that pets and people fail to bond, resulting in thousands of animals surrendered every year to the Humane Society.
There are many wonderful experts and training classes in the community available that will help deepen your understanding of animal behavior and ultimately, improve the relationship you have with your furry family members.
The Hawaiian Humane Society also offers an Animal Behavior Helpline. This is a free service staffed by volunteers to answer animal behavioral questions. You can call 356-2209 and leave a message. (The average time frame to resolve an issue is 2 weeks.) If the question pertains to a medical emergency, please contact a veterinarian immediately.
